Trigger-point dry needling is a procedure where an acupuncture needle is inserted into the skin and muscle. It is aimed at myofascial trigger points (MTrP) which are hyperirritable spots in skeletal muscle.. These sensitive areas of tight muscle fibers can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse. A trigger point can cause strain and pain throughout the muscle and can refer in a specific pattern. If you are trying to "release" a muscle through applying pressure manually or with a foam roller, then Trigger point dry needling may be helpful for you.
Trigger point dry needing is very effective in decreasing pain and improving mobility.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain.
Shockwaves are mechanical pressure waves that work on the tissue. Shockwave therapy is widely used to treat musculoskeletal problems. Its efficacy has been described and confirmed in numerous national studies and reports.
